28 Dec 2017Solar Frontier Achieves Thin-Film Solar Cell Efficiency of 22.9%
Solar Frontier K.K. has set a new world record for thin-film solar cell efficiency. In joint research with the National Research and Development Agency's New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization (NEDO) of Japan, Solar Frontier achieved 22.9% conversion efficiency on a 1cm2 cell using its CIS technology. Independently verified by the National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST) in November, this record achieved 0.3 percentage points over the current world record of 22.6% that was set by the Center for Solar Energy and Hydrogen Research Baden-Württemberg (ZSW) in February 2016. -

In this project, Antaisolar engineers analyzed the actual installation environment and construction requirements of the factory building in detail, providing the solution by utilizing two kinds of standing seam roof clamps with H shape rail to support the PV module. -

Singulus Technologies to Supply Selenization Systems for CNBM
China National Building Materials has signed a contract in China with Singulus Technologies AG for the supply of five selenization systems of the type CISARIS for the production of CIGS solar modules. The implementation of the five further CISARIS furnaces sees the plant in the city of Bengbu, Anhiu Province achieve its planned overall production capacity of 300MW. Singulus Technologies has now supplied a total of 14 large coating and selenization systems for this expansion phase. -

JA Solar's Module Shipments to India Reach 1GW in 2017
JA Solar Holdings Co., Ltd. announced that the company's 2017 module shipments to India reached 1GW of capacity year-to-date.
