    JA Solar to Supply 7.8MW Full Square Mono Modules to British Solar Renewables

    March 3, 2014 - JA Solar today announced that it will supply 7.8MW of its full square mono solar modules to British Solar Renewables, for use on a 7.8MW solar farm in the south-western United Kingdom. Shipments of the JAM6R 270W P-Type modules in a 60-cell format are expected to be completed during the first quarter of 2014.

    Canadian Solar Receives C$ 52 Million Non-Recourse Construction Loan from Natixis

    Feb. 26, 2014 - Canadian Solar today announced that Natixis, New York Branch/Norddeutsche Landesbank Girozentrale, New York Branch/Cooperative Centrale Raiffeisen-Boerenleenbank B.A./"Rabobank Nederland', New York Branch ("Natixis") will provide the Company with up to C$ 52 Million, in non-recourse, construction plus term financing. The loan facility has a maturity term of construction plus 10 years and will be used to finance the previously announced 10MW (ac) utility-scale solar power project "Glenarm", which is being acquired by DIF Infra 3 RE Canada (Ltd).

    First Solar Sets World Record for CdTe Solar Cell Efficiency

    Feb. 25, 2013 - First Solar today announced it has set a world record for cadmium-telluride (CdTe) photovoltaic (PV) solar cell conversion efficiency, achieving 20.4 percent conversion efficiency certified at the Newport Corporation's Technology and Applications Center (TAC) PV Lab and confirmed by the U.S. Department of Energy's National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL). The record-setting cell was constructed at the company's Perrysburg, Ohio factory and Research & Development Center.

    Trina Solar Awarded EPC Contract for Jordan's 2MW Solar Power Project

    Feb. 27, 2014 - Trina Solar Limited announced today that it has signed an EPC contract with Fresh Fruits Company in Amman, Jordan for a 2MW rooftop solar power plant on the company's stores and warehouses. Under the contract, Trina Solar is responsible for the engineering, procurement, and construction of the project. The project will use Trina Solar TSM-PC05A Honey 260 Wp modules.

    SunEdison and Deutsche Bank Complete Project Portfolio for 56MW Solar Projects in UK

    Feb. 26, 2014 - SunEdison today announced the closing of a non-recourse debt financing arrangement with Deutsche Bank. The debt proceeds will be used to finance the construction of 56 megawatt (MW) portfolio of four utility-scale photovoltaic (PV) solar projects in the United Kingdom. The portfolio is expected to be fully operational by the end of March 2014. This portfolio marks SunEdison's entry into the rapidly growing UK solar market.
