    Kyocera Supplies 3.6MW Solar Modules for "Kizuna" Solar Park in Japan

    Sept. 26, 2013 - Kyocera Corporation announced that it has supplied 3.6 megawatts (MW) of multicrystalline silicon solar modules for the Okumatsushima "Kizuna" Solar Park in Higashi-Matsushima City, Miyagi Prefecture, Japan. Construction of the utility-scale solar power plant owned and operated by Mitsui & Co., Ltd. was recently completed and the plant went online in August.

    Strata Solar to Build 4.95MW Solar Energy Farm in Missouri

    September 23, 2013 - City Utilities of Springfield said Monday that it is close to signing a contract to buy electricity from the state's largest solar energy farm after it's built in eastern Greene County. The five-megawatt project could open late next spring on 40 acres that CU owns near its McCartney natural gas turbine between Springfield and Strafford.

    Zeversolar Partners with Energiebau

    September 24th 2013 - Zeversolar, the second biggest Inverter producer from China, has partnered with Energiebau to introduce new inverters to the European market. From October 2013 on Energiebau will distribute Zeversolar's inverter-line starting in the Netherlands. The product line will be on stock and distributed in Benelux. Zeversolar will also be present on the stand of Energiebau Solar Power Benelux during the Energie 2013 exhibition in s'-Hertogenbosch, the Netherlands.

    Standard Solar and Solar Grid Storage Collaborate to Complete Commercial Solar Microgrid

    September 24, 2013 - Standard Solar, in collaboration with Solar Grid Storage, today announced that construction is complete on the solar microgrid project at Konterra's headquarters. The project, announced earlier this year, is a grid-interactive energy storage system co-located with a new 1,368 panel photovoltaic (PV) array, creating one of the nation's first commercial scale microgrids.

    Suntech Announces Developments with Respect to Global Solar Fund Assets in Brindisi, Italy

    Sept. 23, 2013 - Suntech today announced that on September 19, 2013, the Company received notice that the Court of Brindisi (Italy) issued a ruling to seize additional solar parks constructed by investee companies of Global Solar Fund S.C.A. SICAR ("GSF"). In total, with this new seizure, an aggregate of 37 GSF solar parks have been ordered seized which have a total capacity of approximately 30MW and represent approximately 21% of the aggregate nominal power capacity of solar parks held by GSF. The Court also ordered the seizure of feed-in-tariffs received by the investee companies of GSF that own the seized solar parks. As consistent with Italian legal proceedings, several people have been served pre-trial detention orders. GSF is currently in the process of reviewing the ruling issued by the Court to determine the next appropriate steps, and the Company is working with GSF to maintain operations while operating in a manner compliant with the Court's ruling.

    Innotech Solar Modules Awarded Made in EU Certificate by TÜV Rheinland

    September 19, 2013 – Innotech Solar (ITS) has received the Made in EU certificate from TÜV Rheinland for its European solar modules as proof that they are manufactured in Europe. This means that operators of plants fitted with ITS modules will benefit from a ten percent higher feed-in tariff in France, with the owners of ground-mounted photovoltaic systems enjoying the added advantage of being able to claim payments backdated to October 1, 2012.
